The KY Classique has been held this same weekend for years. The AEC’s moved back on to their weekend, so please do not blame the KY Classique. Maybe you could voice your opinion to the USEA for moving the AEC’s to our weekend?
When I attended 5 of the AEC’s, they were held in September. A lot of folks used the KY Classique, as a warm up for the AEC’s. I agree that an Eastern and Western Championship would be ideal. However, the logistics and cost are probably too daunting for the USEA to even consider.
