AEC Live Streaming?

Does anyone know if the AECs will be live streaming this year? I checked COTH who has streamed it before, but there are no upcoming events listed. I checked Streamhorse and didn’t see it. USEA has a link to live scoring, but no stream. Has anyone heard differently? I’d love to be able to watch my trainer and one of our juniors rides.

COTH isn’t approving my post…maybe because I put the link in it? Anyway, Ride On Video is doing the live stream.

Fabulous thank you so much! @pony4me I didn’t notice this on your site. Show runs tomorrow if you want to add it… and Burghley too I believe we found is going to be streaming on Facebook

I’ve tried to link Ride On Video before as well and it got marked as spam (can’t believe I didn’t think to check there). COTH does not like that site.

My take, so far, on the AEC’s being in Colorado, is that this is a West Coast Championship. There are very few riders that have come from East of the Mississippi River. The division sizes are very small, when compared to the ones we had in GA. There are a boatload of East coast riders who have come to the KY Classique. It bodes well for the AEC’s to be in KY next year.

How were the entries from West coast riders when the AEC’s were on the east coast? Does this at least let others who aren’t able to compete on the East a chance to participate… or were they all at the AEC’s anyways and willing to make the drive? I’m central, so for our riders any location is usually workable.

ETA - is anyone else having issues with the stream? I am so frustrated - my trainer is about to go and it won’t load - just stuck on the logo with a loading symbol. I was having issues yesterday too with it freezing up and having to refresh the page and the sound/video was off :frowning:

I’m not having any luck with the live stream either. It worked for the first few jumps of the first person out on course, but nothing since. Bummer.

Well shoot. Hopefully they will upload everything per rider sooner rather than later. I was so excited to finally have my barn out there and competing!

I’m fustrated with the live feed too - I was able to get it going long enough to catch my trainer’s dressage yesterday but like MsR - only get a 27 min video today - the banner then the first few minutes of the first riders course :frowning:

OP. In answer to your question, about whether the West Coast attended the ones on the East Coast. There were some who came. Barb Crabo came from CA. There were a lot from TX who came. I know one of the AEC’s that I attended in GA clamed that 40 something states were represented. Of course, that could be one rider from each of the West Coast states.

I am happy for those riders who could not afford to ship to the AEC’s on the East Coast. They deserve to have the opportunity to ride in one.

At least, the AEC this year and the two following in KY should have true cross country courses, unlike what the riders got in Tryon.

@Auburn completely agree. I hope to start doing recognized events next year and who knows, maybe I’ll be lucky enough to make it within the next two years!

Stream is now finally working… hope this didn’t just jinx it!

Thanks for the heads up on the livestream! I’ve added it to the StreamHorseTV website. The livefeed is working fine for me right now.

I’m in Colorado but can’t get over there today and the livestream is still not working for me, keeps looping the last OT rider. Wahhh!

Yep - it worked for the Training Am and TR div, then got stuck again.l I will keep checking back, it worked for a little bit before!

It’s working for me, however sound wise, I am getting the commentator plus a very annoying second sound stream of music and ads playing over the top.

While I appreciate the opportunity to watch a livestream for free, this is ridiculous. It doesn’t work more than it does.

Any word on Ellen Doughty Hume’s elimination? She was listed 4th yesterday after dressage and today it’s an E.

I think it’s kind of lame that nobody from the east went to CO… and that they held the KY event the same weekend. They might as well have eastern and western championships. Those on the east coast have an abundance of top events with top competition. I’m not riding in it, but I know many of my friends in WA and CO will never be able to get to KY or Tryon despite how competitive they are.

Yes, and by the same token not many of my friends would be able to make in to CO. So why is it lame that no one showed up from the east coast?

I agree they should have eastern and western championships. This country is too big!
