Hey! I’m considering a move to the Tampa/Clearwater area, and panicking about my potential to find affordable horsey options in Florida. I have some pretty lofty dressage aspirations, but I know that I won’t be looking to compete in any CDIs any time soon or anything lol. basically I would love to be able to grow and maybe even compete on a limited budget, but not even sure if that’s possible anywhere, let alone Florida?? I LOVE thoroughbreds, so any ideas of where I could work with OTTBs or something like that would be welcomed as well

Check out Suncoast Dressage and Combined Training (SDCTI) in Odessa,
25 mi. north of Tampa. They have several members who give lessons at all levels.
If you’re thinking of working at a TB breeding farm, check out Florida Thoroughbred Breeders Assoc. for working farms. Most are located in and around Ocala.
