Looking into getting a new tack trunk cover to match barns colors but wanted to know where the best deals are. Barn is getting theres from Blue Ribbon, but just wanted to shop around to see if there was a more affordable option.
Looking for Sunbrella fabric, and a zipper top, made to fit a large Oakcroft trunk.
Any suggestions are helpful!
Smartpak, Dover and The Clothes Horse I think make them too for the Oakcroft trunks. Nice trunks!

The Clothes Horse covers aren’t particularly cheap, but I got a couple of zipper top ones from them and love them.
I got mine from Nancy at Wildhorse Designs. It is an old Warner’s box and I just needed something simple. She beat any price I found elsewhere and can do piping, etc. if you want. I don’t have her number handy but I am sure you can google here and find it. If not, let me know.
Ordered a cover from Wild Horse Designs today. Very nice people and I was surprised by all the extras that are part of their covers automatically. For Sunbrella on an oversized trunk it was $180 and that includes a fully lined cover with handle cut outs and piping. They have a facebook page if you want to see their work. I’ll report back when I receive it!

I love my Smartpak covers. Both were custom sizes, and the price was still less than everything else I found. I’d definitely recommend them to anyone!

I just got a new cover for my Oakcroft trunk from Dover on sale for $75. The base color selection is limited (navy, black or hunter, IIRC) but I added a contrast binding and piping plus a monogram in my colors and it is frankly nicer than the “true custom” covers ithat I spent $200+ on.
It is padded, with a zipper and has all the bells and whistles; they even trimmed the holes on the sides where the trunk handles are; something my $$$ “custom” covers don’t have.
I am super pleased with it.
I have a Smartpak custom cover that I bought in June to fit a large Oakcroft trunk, and am not thrilled with it. The price was right, but the monogram is quite small in relation to the trunk size, and the zipper is very lightweight. I am planning to call them about replacing the zipper. Wish I had looked around and possibly gotten better quality for a bit more. I love SmartPak, and maybe mine was just a fluke.

It’s this cover - but with binding/piping. It was part of their closeout sale; the product info included “this can be customized…” Might be worth calling to ask about.

lucassb I have the large oakcroft trunk and was told that they didn’t have a size to fit it and could’t be customized. Did you find otherwise?
Do any of these places customize the size of the covers? I have a gorgeous trunk that was made by someone local and is huge. Most of the covers I’ve seen listed aren’t big enough. Would love to get one I don’t have to spend a ton on.
If anyone is looking for a really nice wooden trunk in the SE PA area PM me! I’m in love with mine and it only cost $450 I believe. It’s a freakin steal for the quality of work this guy does!!
