I am also boot size 11, tall, wide calf. My legs are even longer than they should be for my height (as are my arms, apparently made for swinging through trees). Typically my inseam is 35"
In any case, this really doesn’t fit into your request, b/c of the price range, but more of an FYI. After years in a pair Mountain Horse tall boots, I found the style had been discontinued. I gave in and decided to upgrade to Ariats ~$400.
Imagine my absolute SHOCK when the talls (Kinsely) were too tall. Even if I was going to assume a lot of drop after breaking them in, they really were too high. I have never, ever had anything be too tall or too long. Apparently the length of my leg is mostly femur?
In any case, for your future reference, Ariat talls are tall!! I currently have a pair of Ariat Bromont style that were on clearance in medium height & they are fine. I wouldn’t say they are a warm winter boot, but I do like them.
I did like the Mountain Horse while I had them. They lasted a long time. My intention was to re-order, but as I said, they were no longer available. They still have one pair in lower price range, but only field boots. I find I get stickers and hay stuff in the laces.
Right now it seems everything, everywhere, in terms of tall boots is backordered. I have been waiting for the medium height Kinsley for about 4.5 months.
Edit to add: I just looked up the Mtn Horse field boots and they aren’t even offered in 11. Grrrr… Aren’t Swedes tall? They must have bigger feet.
