Afternoon jumping session added for 10-6

Email notification I just received from the event:

Due to the extraordinary number of entries for the Jumping World Championships Presented by Rolex, the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games has added an afternoon session to the Team Final competition.

Your ticket will now also gain you entry into an afternoon session from 1-5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6th in addition to the regularly scheduled competition time of 7 p.m. that evening.

The afternoon session will include teams and individuals, and the evening session will feature the top 10 teams and top 10 individuals.

Boo - this additional session does not seem to be available through FEI TV!

It appears that FEI TV is showing individual vaulting live instead.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think the scores from this session count towards the individual scores. I think the idea is so that all the individuals who are not there as part of a team and the riders from the eliminated teams have to jump the same number of rounds and don’t get a day off/rest day and therefore disadvantage the riders that are still left in the team competition.
So from a viewing standpoint it probably won’t mean a whole lot if you miss it.

What you say sounds fair. Do the individuals all start over with a clean slate on Saturday or do they carry their current scores into that last round?

Do the scores from today (Wed./team round 2) count towards determining the top 30 riders who advance to the individual competition? I thought only yesterdays rounds counted, and so we already know the top 30 who will contest individually. If this is right, though, then only those in the top 30 who aren’t in a top 10 team (I doubt that many), would be additions. What am I missing?
