I am in Eastern NC and would love to buddies to camp with!!

I am taking my (then) 10-year-old daughters and two horses and a pony.

It’s a TON of fun!!!

Do you know if you are required to ride all 5 days? Can’t take that time off from work, but would be interested in trailering in Friday, and the riding Saturday & Sunday…

You can ride as much or as little as you’d like!!!

You can show up/leave at your leisure.

We’re planning to go this year. We went last year and it was a blast! It was actually my horses first trail ride, and he was great.

That’s awesome!! What area do you camp in?

I have spaces 1421/2 and 1521/2 reserved.

I must be close to the Coffee House!!

This year my girls will be riding with me. I am very excited for them!! They have really started pounding the pavement with their fundraising. They are nine-years-old and I told them if they wanted to go, they had to raise all the money completely on their own.

Cool! I’d love to come for the weekend.

I’ve done a single day’s ride, several years ago with a friend who lives there in Myrtle Beach- we had a great time, it was really a novel experience. If you are camping there at Lakewood, fair warning- it’s packed out- not much wiggle room and no privacy- not saying it’s bad, just saying it’s cozy in the campground!

Mr. asb_own_me and I are thinking about making the trip from the Midwest to support JackandMo and the charity that is so dear to her, the AHA…and of course to experience riding our Saddlebreds on the beach!

We were at 2861 on the Crater Lake last year, which we really liked. You have more privacy than some of the other areas, because you have the lake to your back and villas across the road. I never could actually find the coffee shop… We were less cramped than many others because it was my mom and I, with one horse and a small gooseneck. Although, even with just the one horse we were cramped.

My girls have been doing something right!

Each have raised almost $300 on their own!

I am very proud of them!
