AHS 2012 Inspection Tour

The AHS 2012 Inspection Tour was announced this AM. I know the AHS planning team made special efforts to plan the schedule this year including sending out a survey several weeks ago to get a good estimate of number of entrants, but also spent a lot of time considering the travel schedule for the inspection judges so that they would have sufficient rest and plenty of time planned at each site to interact with AHS members.

New for this 2012 inspection tour are futurity classes for Yearling and 2 year old Colts/Geldings and Fillies. Top futurity youngsters from each site will receive ribbons and eligible for Year End Cash awards.

I personally remain VERY impressed with the quality of the AHS Inspection process for Stallions, Mares & Foals. This is truly an international breed with international standards. If you have not attended an AHS inspection, please look for a site near you. I don’t think you will be disappointed in the quality of the horses or the inspection process

Also, this year, Inspection Tour ‘Books’ will not be published and mailed. All of the paperwork will be on the AHS website.

I would like to attend the MN one this year–Thanks for posting!

Rainbow Equus, Ill be there!

I have all ready sent off an email - plan to attend the NC inspection with Simone and baby Soul Kiss

Yipee!! Bringing 2 Rubignon foals to the Woodridge Farm inspection in OK! So happy I do not have to do the 600 mile trip, was going to switch to GOV to avoid the haul.

Wow! That schedule looks like a marathon!

I must second the comment about trying to attend inspections even if you don’t have a foal/mare/stallion that’s being inspected. You can learn so much!

Yes, I third attending inspections. I, too, have been very impressed with AHS. I am the PA host, and welcome anyone to attend. You will very likely walk away learning something valuable.

Looks like it’s either Richmond or Coupland Texas for me , both are a distance away from me.

Thanks for posting, Annetta. We will be attending the Creek Colony Ranch in Richmond, TX inspection and futurity.

We will also have a private branding (date to be announced). If anyone is interested attending, please send me a PM, we are 60 miles northeast of Houston.
