A few spaces are still available for the 2011 AHS “All About Hanoverians” Breed Orientation Course. . The All About Hanoverians AHS Breed Orientation 2011 Seminar will be held November 4-8, 2011 in Framingham, Mass. The seminar will be guided by Dr. Ludwig Christmann and facilitated by Judy Hedreen and Linda Mendenhall. The material covered will resemble the Hannoveraner Verband’s (HV) Breed Orientation Course, however it will reflect AHS goals and North American breeding stock and will also include a consideration of the unique challenges of breeding Hanoverians on this continent. Registration is first come, first reserved. Limit 30 attendees
Each day will begin with an informative classroom lecture followed by lunch, then a visit to a local breeding farm. The AHS is pleased to have gained the support and participation of many of the leading Hanoverian breeding establishments in the New England area.
Featuring Dr. Ludwig Christmann
Dr. Ludwig Christmann, HV’s director of International Affairs, Development and Education will conduct the AHS Breed Orientation 2011 Seminar. Dr. Christmann is a long-time friend of the American Hanoverian Society and had been a frequent visitor to the United States in connection with the AHS’s annual inspection tour and annual membership meeting. He is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading experts on the Hanoverian breed.

History of the Hanoverian horse, the breeding aim, selection and breeding rules
Theory for evaluating horses, including description of traits, both desirable and not desirable
Practical judging of horses in-hand, under saddle, basic gaits, and free jumping
A thorough discussion of bloodlines, old and new

Seminar Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received by the AHS office on or before October 17, 2011 will incur a $100.00 administration fee. After that, you forfeit the entire fee, unless the space can be filled.
The cutoff date for the special $129.00/Night AHS room rate is October 13, 2011. Use Group Name “AHS Breeders’ Orientation”.
Hotel Cancellation Policy
All guest room cancellations must be received 48 hours prior to the arrival date in order to avoid a penalty fee equal to one night’s room and tax.
