I saw this on another horse board I frequent, and I thought of Aiden immediately:

If you come to the edge of all the light you have
And must take a step into the darkness of the unknown,
Believe that one of two things will happen;
Either there will be something solid for you to stand on,
Or you will be taught how to fly.

Bless you, Aiden, may this be the bright beginning to a wonderful life…

Yayayayay!!! SO glad to hear Aiden is doing fabulous! A New Year and a New liver and that is great!!!

hoping you are not too too sore. We worry about you too even though you are waving all your discomfort aside. You are such a strong brave person - God bless you. I said a prayer around 7AM for you - still praying and thinking about you and the Hawks.

Aiden it was snowing here yesterday. We have about 3". When you are a little older you can play in it and make lots of snow angels.

Have a great day Hawk family.

HELL YEAH.

Congrats!!! and I feel for the family that lost their baby.

Thank God for prayer, thank God for curb chains, thank God that we are all in this together and thank God for hair dye.

I absolutely REFUSE for this story to have anything but a happy ending. God, are you listening?

KICK ON!!!

What wonderful news about Aiden. As a side note to your “celebrate life party” think about not only Aiden’s new life as a healthy little guy but all of the wonderful new foals that will be born next year and have the precious gift of life through the generousity of the stallion and mare owners and as a direct result of Aiden… what a legacy.

YEAH!! I’m so glad the card made it to you !! I thought it would be neat to have a card from a group of us to let you know we are thinking of you.

Tell Aiden he has to get better so he can be home to St Pete by March. I hopefully should be down there with hubby mid-march and would love a chance to see the little lion. We will be staying down at Isla on the bayway, and my Grandma lives near St Johns Pass. Hopefully we can get together!

All gave some…And some gave all…God bless the USA

Thanks for the update, Lisa!!

You all are still in our thoughts and prayers!

Keep on kickin’

As my husband Sam and I head to bed, we are thinking of you Aiden, Joey and Lisa. Our prayers are with you throughout this night. May the morning bring brighter hopes and even better news.
You are all loved.

Just checking in this AM. More prayers and good vibes for the little fighter!

You know, I have often heard of the miracles that come about by the power of positive thought. Well, with all the good thoughts, hopes and prayers and good vibes that have gone to Aiden and his courageous family, it can only get better!

Aiden has a new liver, that his family could only hope would come, and here it is. Complications or not, this is wonderful. He is gong to make it, I just know it!

happy horsin!

I’m so very happy for you. The best thing about this is that he will recover, grow into a strapping healthy young man and never remember any of this. Of course, you and Joey, may never feel completely at ease ever again but then that’s parenthood in general I’m afraid!!

YES!!!

jingling like crazy! You guys are amazing, best of luck, I’ll be thinking of you guys all day!

and people say gov’t employees are useless… HA!

Thank you so much for letting us know! I just finished a rather large, caffeinated drink, so my energy is back up and the prayers can double.

What if the Hokey Pokey IS what its all about?

Continued prayers for baby Aiden to keep up the fight!
“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away!”
This Christmas story of Aiden and his family, his donor family, and his extended COTH family has certainly taken our breath away on many occasions.
What an inspiration you all have been for all of us.
Know you are in the thoughts and prayers of all of us for continued recovery.

You have worked with all your tiny heart and strength to provide us with the Christmas gift that we have asked and prayed for. Thank you.

OMG, this is just the BEST news I think I have EVER heard! Praise God! And THANK YOU, knowonder/“Sara#1!” YOU ARE THE GREATEST.

OMG, my heart is just pounding right now, I am SO excited…if I were there in person, I would be screaming, jumping up and down, and hugging you guys! This is WONDERFUL!!!

((((((((((HUGS))))))))))) to all, and kisses to Baby Aiden, my “cyber-nephew,” who will have a new liver soon!

LOVE,

What a wonderful, wondrous, amazing thing…and what an amazing family!

Lisa, Aiden will NEVER “not matter or make a difference” in life. Just see how he has brought people together who have never met - who don’t even know each other’s “real” names sometimes. But they are bound by love and faith and concern for your boy.

May this new birthday mark the start of a long, rich lifetime of health, abundance and joy for Aiden and all those who love him. And may the family who so helped you somehow feel and know some of that – they are truly the living embodiment of selfless love. Peace - Gina
