From “The Lion King”:

The Circle of Life

From the day we arrive on the planet
And blinking, step into the sun
There’s more to see than can ever be seen
More to do than can ever be done
There’s far too much to take in here
More to find than can ever be found
But the sun rolling high
Through the sapphire sky
Keeps great and small on the endless round

It’s the Circle of Life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle
The Circle of Life

It’s the Circle of Life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love
Till we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the Circle
The Circle of Life

Please dear lord … hear our prayers.

When I read this post for the first time, it touched me in a way i can’t describe. My son’s birthday is April 17, 2002…2 days before Aiden’s. All I prayed for was his health. When he got here, it was so hard because of a number of things. We love our son with all of our heart, but at times, we were just so frustrated and exhausted. After hearing Aiden’s story, I am so grateful for what we have with our son; it’s truly put into perspective our “gripes” such as not being able to sleep past 7:30 AM. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Hawks…my mom works at Northside Hospital, right across from CHOA. If at all possible, my son and I would like to meet Aiden one day while you’re here in good 'ol GA. So happy for the update, and praying for the donor match!!!

I vote for Feb 1st. That happens to be the day when I will be driving south on my way to Florida…

If Aiden is ready to leave about then, I will have 1/2 of my horse trailer empty to help haul home all the stuffed lions. How else will Lisa get them all home???

I'm an organ donor. Are you?

I couldn’t say it any better than Beezer, but …

It has truly been a privilege to share Aiden’s journey for these past few month through the good times and the hard times. We have all probably become better people for the experience.

fabulous! Congradulations and enjoy this awesome day.

What a cutie. In the ventilator picture, the look in his eyes is almost wise…I can see what he will look like when he’s older.

go ring the chain!

Anxiously waiting for a morning report. How did the little guy do during the night? I know he kicked hard all night long with everyone egging him on. Hoping another lab tells us that the liver is revved up and ready to run…jingle jingle jingle.

Well thats a great way to start the day off! I’ll keep jingling!

Me too…except the age part.

Hmmm… me too, except for the drugged up part.

Oh well, I can still keep sending prayers and good thoughts… not too old, tall or fat for that!

Keep up the fight Aiden, I know you can do it! The prayers won’t stop until we all know you have won.

Yea Aiden!

I don’t know what to say except that you, Joey and Aiden are constantly in my thoughts. Please hang in there…and know we are all thinking of you!

EMPLOYED!!! Finally!! I started at Cosi and didn’t spill anything on anyone (yet), Dupont North for all you VA/MD/DC’ers

Don’t kill me for asking what may have already been explained! I’m late the table of the aiden-story, and have been slowly catching the past few months. There are too many threads to read through!

What is a living donor? I know the criteria were spelled out, but what does it mean?

Does it mean that person can donate something as a living person? Does it mean if that person happens to die, Aiden has called “shotgun” on their liver?

I’m not sure if livers can be “sliced” and shared… I know kidneys can be taken out and given away, but you don’t have two livers!

Delighted for all of you! And a big thanks for places like the McDonald House and the Mason House.

Enjoy your pizza and your sleep…here is wishing you all sweet dreams and good times.

I just got back from an anniversary mass and party, where I spent the entire time praying for Aiden’s new liver to work. The name of the church was ST. AIDEN’S. Coincidence? I don’t think so!

Aiden has inherited your fighting spirit, Lisa! I just know that somehow this will work out- it’s just a few more plot twists for the movie about Aiden we plan to make!

Stay strong, keep fighting, we love you and we’re here for you.
