Aiken Farriers

Hi there! I’m researching farriers in the Aiken area who have a background in sport horses, therapeutic shoeing and podiatry.

I have had Challen Ingraham recommended to me so was curious on any experiences with him specifically.

Also interested in any other recommendations people have as well. Must provide a well balanced foot and be experienced with working off X-rays.

Is he new to the Aiken area?

I really don’t know. It seems he’s been in the area for the last few years at least. I myself am new to the area so just trying to learn as much as I can about everyone.

I have been horsing around here for 40 years. There are two things that people are reluctant to share. One is where they source their hay, and the other is their farrier. The typical response I hear to “who is your farrier?” is “well, he’s really busy and I don’t think he is taking new clients” or some other means of deflection. Getting a name for buying hay or of a person’s farrier can be like pulling teeth.
