Saturday, October 3rd was a fabulous day for the many hunts of Aiken. Members from Aiken Hounds,Why Worry and Whiskey Road Foxhounds as well as lots of people from the area came to ride at The Aiken Hounds Hunter Trial at Paradise Farm.
There was something for everyone. A hunter pace for Hilltoppers and First Flighters,Handy Hunter Classes,Open Classes that include banks,ditches and a fabulous water jump.There was a sidesaddle class,hack class ,cross rails for starters and a tailgate competition.There were three classes for our canine visitors. Best wagger,Presttiest eyes and a fabulous costume class.
The day concluded with terrier races and lurcher racing.There is no beter place for viewing than Paradise farm. All spectators can view it all from the top of a magnificent hill.This will be an annual event the first weekend in October for years to come.A wonderful day for all.
