Tex Sutton does a great job.
As for “eggs in one basket” the same is true whenever the U.S. Equestrian Team ships overseas.
I used them when we moved across country. We took off from Baltimore the day after the Preakness, and though none of the horses had run in the Preakness there were a lot who’d run in earlier races. They were very professional. I was very worried about my mare acting up but there was no such issues. One horse acted up and they handled it very well, and did call ahead so that owners could decide if they wanted to do anything when we landed, horse did have a few minor injures. I agree with above, it’s not uncommon to ship all the U. S. team together. And it’s not just horses. Often times teams for every sport will travel as a job.
Does anyone else recall that Lipizzans were distributed to Australia and other locales to safeguard the breed at one point? I have a friend who breeds and shows a rare breed dog and never transports more than three at one time as a safeguard for this particular bloodline within a very rare breed.
and that makes me twitchy, too.
