Airtabs for a trailer work!

Just wanted to say that these have been great for us! So far, we’ve put them on our bumper pull cargo trailer, and they made a noticeable difference, mileage-wise, from the beginning.

We probably broke even on the few hundred dollar expense on the first cross-country haul. They have increased our MPG (diesel) from 13+ to 15-18(!):). So far, my husband has not noticed any difference with lessened turbulence from passing 18-wheelers - supposedly another Airtab benefit - but he’s never considered that an issue with this trailer, which is towed with an Equal-i-zer hitch.

We installed them ourselves – it was very easy and didn’t take much time.

I’m looking forward to someday putting these on my gooseneck horse trailer.

Definitely recommend Airtabs; many thanks to whoever mentioned them:yes:.

Well reading about airtabs, they sound very interesting! I will share this with husband, he has a cap on his truck, so they might help gas milage a bit. Thanks for sharing! I must have missed that post you learned about them on.

Thought I learned about them on CoTH, but perhaps it was Barrel Horse World – it was years ago. Took us three or four years to get around to ordering them; we’ve now had them installed over a year, so lots of miles racked up with the Airtabs.

They made such a difference that my husband called me from the road, on his first long-distance haul with them, to share the news of the increased mileage.

We have a topper on that tow vehicle, too.
