Albion Experience

Hi all! I am considering purchasing a new Albion jump saddle. After swearing up and down I would never go custom, I am now considering it. Has anyone purchased an Albion new, bought a newish one second hand etc. Please give me any and all feedback on Albions. Thanks in advance!

Fyi: Last fall they were bought by the LIM group, so make sure that the experiences are recent. They own CWD, Devoucoux, Butet, ect.

I bought one second hand a few years ago. I was looking for a W but it was a MW when it arrived. My fault for not paying closer attention, but it fit like a wide. I had an independent saddle fitter come out to verify fit or resell at that point. The saddle was the best fit I had for my high-withered TB, without going custom or paying more than I could afford. I found it to be a comfortable saddle for me and a good fit for my horse. I cannot remember what model it is but I think it’s more AP than jump. I no longer ride my horse but still have the saddle and am contemplating selling it verses collecting dust right now.

Yes, I know and it’s so disappointing. I hate CWD and had such a terrible experience with them and the thought of giving LIM money is horrible honestly but I am really pleased with the Albions on my horse who has been a struggle to find something that works for him. I wish LIM had left them alone  however, I am working with a fabulous fitter and I can see raw trees on my horse and try any demo for however long I need to (within reason of course). But based on my nightmare with trying custom before I am honestly scared to go custom and want to see what experiences people have had
