Da*n cancer anyways. I know too many people lately who have been hit with it.
Dublin, you be tough, like the fighter I know you are!!!
This too, shall pass.
Dublin/DD: You are so brave! You have made me laugh so many times. Keep that spirit, baby, and you know you’re in my thoughts and prayers.
Remember the infamous “Bit O’ Gold”? I’m clanging it together with ALL of my curb chains. It creates quite a racket. Can you hear it?
I’m jingling as hard as I can for you Dublin!
You can do it! We’re here for you. Always
~ Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once ~
and best wishes for you, Dublin. My mother went through a very nasty cancer fiasco disaster along with recurrence seven years ago – she is well and happy – YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!!
PS if you could use a great support group – the American Cancer Society – 800-4CANCER – can put you in touch with an appropriate group in your area. I know it was an invaluable source of support and information for our family in those very hard times.
Best of luck! We may not all know the details or know you personally but there are a lot of us who have walked similar roads and really pray with all we’ve got for your strength and recovery.

Have told Dublin in passing, those dr’s need to get that place up and running as a semi-cyber cafe. Then she can just yak it up with all of us… Eleviate all that boring time spent.
You go girlfriend!
Lots of dog tags and curb chains jangling for you Dublin. I know it’s a pain, especially before the Holidays, but we are here and we loff you!

Dublin needs all of your prays and the BIGGEST CURB CHAIN DANCE we can muster.
Her cancer has rudely reappeared, and we all are praying very hard that the chemo zaps it and gets rid of this awful disease. I am sure that you will understand that she did not wish to post this information herself, but she did want to share it with her beloved BB friends and so asked me to let you know.
In the few short years that we have been a BB, we have been through so much joy - new horses, new babies, new love, new friend and reunions with old ones - and so much sorrow. It is our strength as an online community, brought together by the generosity of the owners of the Chronicle in providing this forum, which never ceases to inspire awe throughout not only the equestrian community, but to our non-horsey friends, family and media. Right now we need some of that strength.
So I ask that as you Deck The Halls and Jingle The Bells, you shake your backside in an extra special Curb Chain Dance for dearest Dublin, someone whom I have the very real privilege of calling my good friend.
Dublin, I love you. You GO, girl!
Ironically, nausea is one side effect I’m not having at all with my chemo, nor a lack of appetite - but all those recipes sound great anyways!
I get to undergo an incredibly boring 5 hour blood transfusion for anemia on Thursday - too bad I don’t have an ETBW gourmet goodie basket to nosh on to pass the time! Looking on the bright side though, it should allow me to catch up on tons of magazines that have been piling up in the house.
Thanks again for all your thoughts and well wishes! They’re really keeping my spirits up through this period of constant doctor appointments and medical procedures.
