Looking for experiences, recommendations, or comments on all steel barns or sheds.

I’m strongly considering a clear-span all steel truss/beam 40 x 80 barn design. Structure to be used primarily for hay storage, but will have 2 “emergency” stalls for horses that need temporary stall confinement. The all steel barn is comparable in material cost and construction to traditional post pole barn. Clear span means no bottom chord of pole barn truss allowing me to take advantage of more open height to stack hay higher. Potentially longer building lifespan as no poles to rot. Thoughts?

Considering building homemade three-sided run-in sheds for turnout area (14 x 24) to take advantage of cheap labor (Dad and Sis are welders). I have found a reasonable source of 2 3/8" used well pipe. Could also buy square tube, but what size/thickness? Galvanized? Painted? Photos of designs, either homemade or purchased?
Thanks!
