Has anyone heard how Dedication is doing? Hopefully he just stung himself.

I believe he got ribbons in the amateurs with his owner, either the same day or the next day. So I would imagine he must have been fine.

I THINK you are thinking of Declaration? I had the same thought for a moment - I was like oh yay he’s better! Then realized the names were just really close lol

You might be right. I didn’t watch the class, I just glanced at the results.

At the bottom of this press release, it says Dedication was not seriously hurt. Thank goodness.

Is anyone watching? I just turned it one to a stop and I think it was Ovation

I missed Ovation…

Can somebody repost the link to the broadcast? Had it bookmarked and lost it somehow, buried in archived footage and high school sports

Yup - was having a nice round, then came to the in and out and said no from a few strides back.

Ovation stopped twice.

Hmm, Canadian Blue spooked there too.

Another one stopped there as well but I think that was more like “no sweetie there’s no distance”

This is a rough class…

Indeed. Will see how the other divisions are

There is in fact a monster at that jump

Just piping in with a pipe dream…

When I was living in Lex (and yes, physically attending NHS  ) there was all this talk about the Hupp Arena being re-built - that’s the big downtown stadium - and they were calling for ideas. I kept hoping Mason or Alltech would slip a bug in someone’s ear about making it a convertible indoor… put standby stalls in that big empty grass space downtown… and host the National in darling downtown Lexington, where everything is within walking distance and horses wouldn’t be completely alien to the populace.

What did I miss in Way Cools trip??

Spooky. And she went around everywhere.

I have to say I think it’s inappropriate at a National Horse Show to jog in reserve and use the time of the awards to show Way Cool the jumps. While I appreciate the use of the ring time, I think at this level that is out of place during the awards. Just my opinion.

Wow, this class is having a very rough start.

Lots of spooky horses today - are the jumps scarier today? Looks like they have more brush and other natural decorations, especially in the center of the ring. Not sure if that’s my imagination or not
