Alternative Jump Blocks

Does anyone have any alternatives for the plastic jump (stackable) blocks. They are pricey to get several.

Just wondering if anyone was wonderfully creative? TIA

I saw a post on Facebook of someone using child’s potty chairs as blocks.

I’m sure this works well, or if you have a few tools (drill, hammer nails) it’s surprisingly easy and cheap to build standards (and the jump cups are cheap on Amazon/Ebay). That’s the option I took when I went into shock after looking at the prices of those blocks  They’re especially cheap if you buy chipped wood or “imperfect” 2X4s and jump poles (and just sand out the imperfections). Besides this, I’ve used chairs (without arms so the poles fall easily), but they lack in the ability to really change heights, besides using the seats and backs/stacking them. Here’s a site on building cavaletti, but I’ve personally never tried this option. Hope you find something that works for you! http://www.texashorsemansdirectory.com/thdcav.html

I don’t know what your price range is, but these seem pretty reasonable, and they come in sets of 4: http://www.crowdcontrolstore.com/lil-stacker.aspx
