Amazing photo of Chloe Reid and Crossover 4 at Ocala

This showed up in my feed today and I thought more people should have the chance to see it!

That’s a 6 foot standard I assume? So 7 feet in the air cool as cucumbers and in perfect balance.

Such an incredible capture of a beautiful moment in time. Well done, by horse, rider, and photographer!

Gorgeous horse, perfectly piloted jump. Inspired me to look at a few of her rounds, she just melts into the horse. Lovely intuitive rider.

Oh wow what a gorgeous shot

Lovely Pedigree too:

He has an 8 yr old sister (same dam) who is closely bred to him. However her videos are not nearly as impressive, but she’s 2 years younger.

ETA that Crossover’s breeder competes the sister.

I just had a little LOL on this picture. There is a hashtag on the photographers entry “leadline”. I know the #s are copy paste for all the photos

Not for this one, though!

Stunning everything.

Thanks for finding the video. That horse is trying pretty hard!

holy crap, I’ve watched a fair number of jumpers over the years but this is amazing. I had seen the still photo, and thanks to poster of the video. He is spectacular - though I’m not sure I would have had the guts to ride that jump even in my younger days!! She, however, looks unfazed. What a pair.

Amazing!

One thought that crossed my mind is how that huge jump is going to affect his soundness over the years. That’s an amazing amount of impact on landing, and it seems like he does that at every jump.

Thoughts?

Watching the video, my first thought was: “Chacco Blue must be in the pedigree”, and indeed he is!:heart:

I love that the rider is right there with him for that huge jump. :open_mouth:

Both horse and rider balanced and light!! No pitchiness. Horse is seemingly a bit smaller 16.2? And has the balance and frame that he lands, then up and under himself and scoots. Doesn’t pitch this rider! Light as a feather with springs. I’d fault him more on potential soundness if he landed heavy. Or traveled heavy.

Just, wow! And decorated for Christmas to boot!:christmas_tree:

I had seen the picture on FB but thank you @pony_grandma for posting the video! What an incredible horse and rider, such a pleasure to watch. Wow!

anybody who thinks riders are not athletes need to study how solid, strong, yet light , this rider is. Beautiful form. Imagine the strength in her core to take and recover from these jumps all the while staying sympathetic and centered.

Great admiration

I actually just had the classic conversation with one of my brothers not long ago about how the horse is doing all the work and the rider is just sitting there. Lol.

It was actually in reference to the legal proceedings against Eric Lamaze and my brother did not understand why they would bother drug testing the rider instead of just the horse. :woman_facepalming:
