A symposium with Amelia will be held here in November. It’s $175 for the weekend. I’m wondering if it’s worth the time and money, and if anyone has insight? For reference, I’m about a second level rider, dabbling with third, having trained my own horse from the ground up. I want to show, but competition is not a huge focus for me.
I attended one they held here about 18 months to 2 years ago. If you like her videos, then it might be worthwhile for you to go. She does answer questions from the auditors and she explains her observations and reasonings clearly. I was glad that I went mostly to watch some of the in hand work that she did with a couple of green horses, one mare being particularly dominant and almost unsafe. The rides that I watched were okay but that’s not to say she wasn’t on spot with her choice of focus or help, just that there were a lot of lower level riders (below second level imo) who needed and received help and very limited on upper level rides which was where I was/am at the time in looking for more tools to add to the toolbox. I only attended one day, not the full weekend.
I second exvet observations.
Thanks for the feedback! I think I’ll wait and see if they post the roster of demo riders before deciding
I am waiting for the same thing! I am interested in auditing.

I would attend. I rode in one of her clinics, which was the first clinic I have ever ridden in, and I not only had fun, I did learn a lot. She’s so easy to work with and friendly and kind. And she has a good way of teaching. Now, I was a training level/dabbler-of-1st-level rider.
