Apparently a stud-manager’s dream!

Ooo, it should be interesting to see what I’ll Have Another’s dam produces when crossed with AP!
Lot’s of international interest. If American Pharoah is a dud no one can honestly blame the mares. He had quite a stellar book.
I dont think he will be a reincarnation of himself but I think you will see plenty of success from him. Especially if he passes on that focused, quiet demeanor.
Well, they ought to be drop dead gorgeous. Like to see what the dam of the great looking Bodemeister throws by AP. Realize track folk don’t care so much but it never hurts if they are good looking.

That’s for sure. He has every chance now. That is an exceptional group of mares. I look forward to seeing what he gets.
The Coolmore Ireland website has a nice farm tour by way of “Coolmore TV”.
As an aside, it’s interesting that the old feud is still alive between Magnier and Mohammed. I thought it was, to some extent, over. Perhaps they only let the bar down as far as buying horses whose bloodlines are bred by the other?
It must be exhausting to hold a grudge like they do.
Ahh, human nature. It’s so silly. Remember their pi$$ing match over the Green Monkey?
His conformation shot is to die for. What a handsome horse.
I went to Coolmore/Ashford in June to see him. He is absolutely TO DIE FOR in person! He stood like a statue for over 25 minutes for our group to get all the pictures we wanted, then went back to his stall where he lounged and let us ogle him some more…
I am SO ANXIOUS to see his first foals! I literally can’t wait. What. A. Horse.
There is a picture in the article on the Coolmore website that shows him cantering in his field, and you can see how very long and laid back that shoulder is. He has no back.
I got to see American Pharoah in August when I was visiting KY to see stallions.
He is such a gentleman!! He knows exactly who is he and is so kind.
I got to get my picture taken with him and give him a pat.
I spent a lot of time with him during the Triple Crown trail and have seen him during the breeding season when taking mares to him and during the summer/fall. It’s amazing how his temperament hasn’t changed. If anything, he’s more laid back now than he was on the track.
Then we will be watching for his get to filter down to the sporthorse folks.
Took a while but A.p. Indy’s are now showing up in the show world, and successfully, too.
I must have been sleeping.
American Pharoah arrived in Australia this week for the southern hemisphere breeding season.
Book was quickly filled at AU$66,000 (~US$50,694). He’ll be standing at Coolmore Australia Stud.
Coolmore released a video about the shuttling process a couple weeks ago that had some footage of American Pharoah turned out in the paddock:

(hope the link works, it’s a public video on Coolmore’s FB page if the link doesn’t work for all)
Around 4:10 you can see him trotting and cantering.
I’m curious to see what will happen with his stud career, particularly if his foals aren’t colossal successes. Our most recent three Triple Crown winners did not come close to recreating their talent at stud, but kept full books through their careers by virtue of their accomplishments on the track. But today’s market seems so much more polarized and fickle.
Thanks for that. What a beautiful horse, and what beautiful facilities. I wish my mares could like like that; they haven’t seen green grass in years, which makes me a little sad.
Thank you for posting that video.
