American Racing Manuals...does anyone know

I collect various books about horse racing, including The American Racing Manuals, published by the Daily Racing Form. I have 30 or 40 volumes, and purchase on eBay, Amazon and variety of used book stores.

I CANNOT FIND mid to late 90s. I have through 1993, then I pick back up at 2003. I don’t think I’ve EVER seen volumes for sale in this gap.

Did the DRF stop publishing in the 90s? Maybe try to take the material online? My more current volumes are quite different than the earlier ones, with a dust jacket. Did they bring them back with a redesign?

Would really like to have those years on my bookshelf

Wikipedia is your friend:

The Manual was first published in 1906, although earlier predecessors had appeared in the 1890s under the title of The American Sporting Manual. The work was continuously published until 1994, when its format was changed to an abbreviated form. It appeared in that format in 1995 and 1996, and was issued as a CD-ROM version in 1997 and 1998. No 1999 edition appeared, but in 2000 the Daily Racing Form issued a 2000 edition in the old format.[2]

You might try contacting DRF directly for CDs if you are interested. Per DRF Publication page:

Huh. Interesting. Thanks for that info. Not really interested in the CDs…want the books on the shelf.
