The rose seems to be just thrown in there and doesn’t add anything, IMHO.

I agree. If it were me, I’d loose the rose.

the rose is probably hiding a mistake. Like, when you draw a horse and realize the front legs look shorter than the back ones, what to do? GRASS! Draw lots and lots of tall grass around those hooves and problem solved.
Thanks for the sideboob shot…nasty tattoo, and she’s covered with them (well, at least 2 are visible…“tramp stamp” and some date on upper back). Yeck!
LOL, but considering how hard it is to draw a good horse and shade it in right, then adding to that that it is on skin, the ARTWORK is fantastic.

I totally agree…seems to be good technique (what’s with the oddly placed flower)…just a ugly thing to do to a body.
Just looks like body paint to me.Not a tattoo. Perhaps a transfer with paint added.
^^^^
Fresh tattoos can look like “paint”. And there are new colors (whites, yellows) which are much brighter now than the old ones…
As for Trakehner – yes, we know, you hate tattoos… yuck gross yucky nasty “tramp stamp” etc – that is your personal opinion. It’s a quality tattoo, I do not think many people would call it a “nasty” (unless you hate all tattoos).
It’s a stick on. Not a real tattoo. Look all the way around it, there is a line where the clear stick on stuff can be seen.
So how will it look it 30 years? The same as it will look in a week. Gone.
OUCH! Bet that hurt being inked on this chick.
I don’t think tattoos are really that painful. Sure the parts where there’s bone and very little flesh can be uncomfortable (I’m skinny so i have pelnty of them) but for me, the most uncomfortable think about get ink on my body is having to stand still for a long time. Maybe I’m just a weirdo.
This is AMAZING.

It’ll look like it has HERDA…

I think so too.Decal, transfer, body paint or combination. Google tattoo stickers, for example.
That is some serious art! And the only thing I like more than real tattoos are fake ones - teacher supply stores, people. They have some AMAZING fake tattoos.
I don’t really notice my own or my husband’s tattoos at all any more - they just become a part of who you are? I don’t expect to look smoking hot at age 70 anyway. I DO expect to have a giant collection of Liz Taylor style caftans, turbans, rhinestone/turquoise jewelery etc.
I think the rose is a cover-up of some kind. Could be over a scar? I have a friend who has some interestingly cut up/cubist looking work on her left breast due to post-cancer reconstructive surgery. (Incidentally, she likes it - feels it represents her experience.)
My favorite part about this tattoo is now she has to get another horse, so she can get a matching one for the other side…
Nice rack.
Not often you get to stay that on this board - not too many people here ride the shaky tails.
