I see these words thrown out a lot lately, in regards to bridles, girths, etc.
Anatomic I take to mean as better fitting to the body.
Ergonomic to me means more comfortable for use
Is there truly a difference in regard to tack?

They’re just marketing buzzwords. Half the time they are used interchangeably because the people writing the descriptions of the product, are not the vendors, and are not as educated on the product anyway.
Anatomic is usually used when describing a bridle that has some “unusual” features that are a departure from the norm in terms of bridle set up. FYI, it does not mean it is better fitting to the body – most of it is a marketing ploy.
Ergonomic, to my knowledge, originated with a non-american brand (Kieffer) - and I think something was semi-lost in translation, but ergonomic means pleasant or intuitive to use - the Kieffer ergonomic headstall is a good example, but it really could also be described as “anatomic” considering the considerations that went into designing it.
IIRC, “Anatomic” came out first with the girths, quite a while before the shaped bridles, or at least before the shaped bridles were as popular as they are now. Prestige Anatomic Girth was an early one, but there was one before that whose brand I don’t remember. County Logic maybe? They’ve started to run together lol
Yeah County Logic definitely had one. I’d love another, my guy has such a sloped back shoulder I wonder if it would be good for him.
