Anatomically gifted :-)

Found out yesterday that I am “anatomically gifted” and will require a 3rd artificial knee. Left and right knees are currently partial replacements, but now the left knee is going to have that pulled and a full replacement put in. Telling people that is always a bit confusing since they can’t figure out why I need a 3rd knee when as far as they know, I only have two legs. I’m not thrilled, but at least I know the entire rehab drill.

Ugh! I hope your 3rd knee replacement goes smoothly!

We always knew you were special! Good luck.

ETA: How is Skeeter doing? Do you still go visit her?

Skeeter is doing fine and I plan to go out and see her on Christmas. She’s well taken care of and enjoying life as a school horse. The dogs fill the hole that was left when I had to quit riding, and showing dogs is just like showing horses, but a lot easier to haul to a show. Hopefully after I get the new knee, I’ll be able to go back to full training with the heathens — I’m missing about 10 shows for my surgery, but it will be worth it in the long run.
