  • Only 19 out 31 buildings have passed all the inspection tests – including ones dealing with security.
  • Italian and Australian teams have refused to stay in their assigned housing due to poor conditions - mold, flooded floors, broken elevators. Fire and gas leaks reported in Dutch complex.
  • Brazil's borders with Argentina and Paraguay aren't being patrolled adequately - the region "has [as many as] 30,000 immigrants in the Arab community", and is reported to be a base for terror groups.
  • "Olympic Park... and the Olympic Village...aren't prepared to deal with or detect possible threats", per experts and journalists who have been on site.

Evidently the Aussies also have refused to stay in their assigned rooms. The pictures looked scary.

But how can there be enough hotel rooms suddenly be available to the scores of athletes wanting to stay outside their planned accommodations?

This is the real danger to these Olympics, not the risk of disease.
