Andrew Kocher - electrical spurs?

He’ll sell more horses than ever now. Just like Mr. Valliere

thanks for going deeper into the rules for that skydy. I agree best interest would be if he just go away.

USEF, as we all know, has a long history of wrist slapping it’s miscreant members so it will be interesting to see if they will take a stand this time. This man was effectively torturing horses.
If this isn’t enough reason to kick someone out of the club, I can’t imagine what is.

I posted on this up thread, albeit 23 hours and many posts ago.

I understand that USEF is honoring the FEI suspension of Kocher as it must. I am hoping that USEF will terminate his membership permanently.

Agreed. And, sadly, I am thinking of some creative methods of utilizing his electric spurs that involve his man parts. Sorry! Not sorry!

I think everyone should report him on Facebook for animal abuse and have his page taken down.

I think the difference is that frankly, Andy Kocher doesn’t have any talent whereas it’s my understanding that Ward and Valiere were competent trainers albeit terrible, terrible people

This is true - I think she says that she didn’t know what the device was that he was using… But the timing is suspicious. Right when they split the allegations started…

She is not the most credible witness for sure, but since AK didn’t really mount a defense and there were several other witnesses, it did not matter who got the ball rolling here with FEI.

Only if he had sex with it while smothering it.

Doesn’t AK have a child or two to support? Asking because if he has to give back all that prize money…

I have a question-and I could be mixed up and to be honest, I haven’t bothered googling this but-didn’t the Chronicle feature Andy in an article several years back? It was a glowing report of him and his horse-one that he was having great success with at the time and how much he loved him etc etc blah blah. I just remember it was a guy from NY area that was somehow connected to the industry. Anyways, my point is…based on that article, I thought he was a stand-up dude. I don’t know this guy at all and never see him at the same venues. Honestly, I don’t really fawn over the BN riders like others do, but nonetheless, why is any publication giving scum like this any air time at all? He is super despicable in all ways and I vomit to think about his legacy on the poor horses under him. I am also sickened that USEF could possibly have known about this and remained quiet. Like wth is this organization even good for???

This one?
Kocher article

I wonder if he was wearing those spurs when that horse died at Hickstead.

I still wonder why EyeCandy isn’t being questioned more about her role in this. Her gleeful cheering and laughing while watching him push his exhausted horse to umpteen faults after the horse won the Queen Elizabeth II Cup the day before showed how she felt about animal welfare. I suppose he was wearing those spurs then, too…

Yes, because that was one of the eight events for which there was photographic evidence.

Comments on that article didn’t age well.

From the linked Chronicle article above: is that line running down his left leg a wire on his grey horse. No wonder it went from being naughty w adults to jumping a GP. He was being electrocuted.

I didn’t notice that but wondered, in hindsight, if he’d done something nefarious to achieve that transformation.
