Ankle pain???

A little background on me. I had broken my right ankle in a riding accident New Years day in 2010, had surgery on it, and just recently had surgery to get the hardware that was put in in the initial surgery out. And now my ankles great! Except now my other ankle, my left one that has had no injuries, bothers me. Its a sharp pain down the back on my ankle. I know I also over flex my ankles, but I was just wondering if anyone had anything like this happen to them. I don’t want to have to run to the doctor for everything, or call the pt. So any help is greatly appreciated.

Somewhat of an easy fix…

Pain on the opposite side indicates you are favoring the surgical side.
This aside from “heels down”.
A progressive strengthening program for the entire left side is step one.
Calvary foot, NO more heels down (which is more harmful than helpful anyway)
and
continued strengthening of the surgical side.
