I fell in love with a friend’s and was wondering if anyone knows if they’re still available (other than getting lucky and having one pop up used). All the info I’m finding is outdated. Thanks!
Here is a site that has some for sale (at least the RC, but not the AKH):
https://riders-boutique.com/collecti…dle-with-reins
They also have a Facebook page you could try.
I could’ve sworn I saw their site still up with their bridles on it not too long ago.
Also, I think I saw one on eBay a short while back. There are some great high end used bridle sellers on there. If you’re in no hurry, set up a search on there to alert you when one pops up.
I believe these were designed to closely mimic the Jimmy’s bridles, so if all else fails, you might consider looking into Bennett’s Hunter Fine Bridles (Jim Wiebe’s son) for something similar.
So, that “RC” bridle may be a Richard’s Custom bridle, but it is hard to tell in the small picture. Equis Boutique (Wellington and Tryon) carried them last year, but I’m not sure they do anymore, because Richard Castelow had his own booth set up at WEF this year and you have to contact him directly (561-460-0285 or richardmastersaddler@gmail.com). His wide noseband hunter bridle is gorgeous.
I have an Ann Hubbard bridle. The leather quality is excellent, it is pretty, however, even when Ann tried to re-dye it, it never has gotten to the correct color.I needed. I use it as a schooling bridle at home. I switched to Edgewood and am happy , so far. As Madison posted, Richard Castelow is a lovely person, goes out of his way to please customers and his leather goods are great, as well as wonderful repairs.
Do you mind me asking how
much that bridle cost? It’s absolutely gorgeous!
Sent you a PM with the details!! It’s a similar price point to Hadfield’s.
