Annual Christmas card exchange

My cards went out in waves due to my stamp inventory.

As usual, I have really enjoyed learning about people’s journey and successes with horses and life. I don’t care when they arrive, I really appreciate all of the notes and stories.

May we all have a fantastic 2024, horses or no horses!

@Polydor, thanks to you for arranging this! It’s really been fun to get all the cards and letters from so many fellow COTHers.

I hope I added enough postage for the Canadian cards and the right stamps for overseas cards.

I did get one COTH card from Tennessee. Piggybacked on to it was a stranger’s card from Tennessee. It was wedged just under the flap of the COTH card. Since its stamp was not cancelled, I untangled it and sent it on its way. Someone in Tennessee will get a belated Christmas card that has made a long trip!

That’s funny, Paint Party. That TN card must have been from me.

I love all the cards! I’ll have to up my game next year and include a one page update for everyone!

Yes, it was! And the hitchhiking card was totally unrelated to you, from a different town than yours. What’s going on at your post office? Was it just so swamped with cards that they got “married” going through the sorting machine?

All of the little handwritten words and sentiments were a special touch. But I agree. The updates with cute tales and anecdotes were very charming. I’ll have to do one too next year!

I have very much enjoyed my first year of the COTH card exchange. Cards continue to trickle in and I am loving reading all your updates. I’ve definitely taken note, and will include a little update next year

I hope everyone had a decent holiday season!

This is happening again this year? Posting from New Zealand takes some time

Another wondering mind here! I love the card exchange.

How cosmic! Was just wondering about the card exchange this morning. I know sending cards even to Canada (aka “The Great White North”) takes a little extra time, too.

Is @Polydor volunteering to do this again?

Are there new names and addresses to add to the existing list?

I’m in! And wanted to ask about it too, it takes time also from Italy  but I LOVED COTH’s Christmas Cards, it was a hard Christmas last year (my mom broke her femur on 08/12 and she spent 2 months at the hospital) and your cards brought me so much joy

Count me in! It’s one of the best parts of Christmas around here.

It looks like @Polydor hasn’t posted since last July. :worried:

Does anyone still have a copy of last year’s mailing list just in case?

I just went and picked out cards today!

I have the 2023 list. If folks would like, I can receive and compile the 2024 list, but I’m not sure we should just put the last list on repeat. Life Happens!
If you want to participate, please DM me and confirm your address or give me your new one.

Last year we received the list on November 28, and that is scarcely two weeks away for people to see this and sign up. I can finish compiling and send out the list on Thanksgiving - Nov 28! so people can start writing cards on Black Friday if they need.

Is that a workable plan?

Sounds great to me! Writing cards on Black Friday means we’ll have time to send cards to The Great White North and overseas.

Hopefully everyone who wants to participate will see the notice.

Thank you for doing this. :christmas_tree:

PM sent.
