This is not a COTH-sanctioned, moderated, or managed Christmas Card list. We just do this for ourselves through a volunteer organizer. If there are any problems, let me know, don’t blame the moderators.

It’s actually a leap of faith that we, united by a chat board, are willing to give our names and mailing addresses to a group of chat-board acquaintances, some of whom we didn’t know about when we signed up because they signed up after we did. That is a big trust we are putting in each other, friends. So please, just use the list for sending cards and building classy friendships. Don’t use it to add names to a business mailing/spam list, don’t send letters picking up a debate that started on COTH, don’t do anything with the list that breaks our trust in each other.

Life and the Post Office happens. If you can’t get cards out on time, don’t beat yourself up, just let us know your cards are coming late, or that life really happened and you can’t get them out. Otherwise your sisters on the boards might get worried about you!
Keep signing up and shopping for cards, we’re looking forward to getting and sending them!

Canada Post is on strike.
Any idea for numbers this year?
As of this point and including myself, there are 18 signed up. Several from last year didn’t sign up this year, and there are several new people.

Very sad to post this, but no card exchange for me this year… I have unexpectedly been laid off then rehired at work, which means a very unexpected move to a new state right over Christmas. Basically I have no idea what address to give. I was all for using my parents’ address instead, as they’d love to get all the cards, but they are in Canada, and the Canada Post strike killed that idea. 
SUCH a huge bummer to miss out - I enjoy this so much every year (and already had cards and stamps ready to go), but I’ll be back next year for sure!

LivetoRide, give us your work address. We can mail your holiday cards to you c/o your employer. Receiving your holiday cards is the least your employer can do.

Bump - Last call! right now we are at XX scratch that, 24 participants.
Tomorrow afternoon I’ll start sending out the list. It may take some creativity if the forum software decides this looks like a sales thing. I’ll post a plan B if that is the case.

If the forum software has a fit, I suppose you could directly email the list to everyone. Because you want to type out 31 email addresses, right?

I’m starting to send out the card list. If I sent it to all 25 people at once (evidently I could neither count nor alphabetize correctly yesterday!) the forum AI is likely to decide I’m a spammer, so I’m breaking up the list and sending several DMs. Yours will come within the next hour.
