Another great example of an Iberian x Warmblood

Some folks on COTH have, in the past, shown an interest in what might be produced by an Iberian x Warmblood cross. I found another example of the cross being auctioned by PSI in 2011. A young stallion by PRE stallion Duende ALB out of a Florestan mare. Very nice!

REALLY lovely!

VERY nice! Love how his rhythm is so steady. Great reach on him too

yup. a lot of folks thought I was nuts with that first thread I started where I talked about wanting to breed my friends Andy mare to a Trakehner stallion.

prudy nice turn out!!!

I’ve always thought it would be a great cross. IMO, Andalusians would improve just about anything they are bred with. I may be a bit biased though. I’ve had two. My coming 4 yr old mare is exceptional- movement, temperament and looks- she has it all! Except IALHA papers that is- (breeder issues). When I do breed her it may well be to a WB. Have looked around at andalusian sires but the breeders/owners of the ones I like either seem to also have issues, or they are not set up to collect & ship semen, or both! I like dealing with professional stallion owners.

Lovely horse. Is he approved by any registry?
