Another One Bites The Dust: Haley Beresford and Relampago Do Retiro eliminated

No idea why yet

Irregularity of movement in the extended trot

FB talk is that he stepped on himself in the HP.

So unfortunate… I can’t even imagine the disappointment of making it to the WEG only to be retired half way through the test.

Also looking for video here.

He broke his fetlock.

How horrible!

Where did you hear this? I haven’t found that information anywhere. Not saying it isn’t true, just would like to read about it.

I was SO bummed that he was excused. I did not see why as I was busy trying to take pictures since I know his Papa really well.

I can say he walked out sound–if he broke something, it was not apparant at ALL…

I LOVE that little horse, and he came out great… stepping on himself makes sense–his warmup was damn impressive…

I thought he looked a bit irregular in the first extended trot, so that would have been before the half-pass. The bell was rung at the end of the second extended trot.

Rellie did not break his fetlock. There was a miscommunication between the rider and the reporter. It Austrailia, sometimes they use the term “broke” to mean that something is wrong, not actually broken. He came out of the ring and trotted sound for the FEI vets and there is no way that he could do that witha broken fetlock.

Wonderful news, thanks, Tootsie!
