This showed up under my horse’s jaw about a week ago. Kind of a dry patch with a few tiny hard lumps (arrows). They don’t peel off like a scab or rain rot. At first I thought a rub, but it doesn’t really look like one. I have been keeping it clean and treating it with Banixx spray, but it hasn’t really changed much. Any ideas? Thanks!
Early sarcoid?? Ringworm? Have you asked a vet yet?
Not yet. I meant to ask my trainer all last week, but we didn’t really cross paths at the right time.
Do you have bugs yet? Maybe just a little bug bite granuloma?

One of my horses has the exact same thing you describe in the same spot but with a lemon sized swelling. I’m thinking it’s a cluster of tick bites.
My thought was either tick or spider bite.
