He definitely is figuring this game out & he looked more comfortable with the blinkers off.

After a long, long wait Identiy Crisis made his debut today & after a bit of bumping at the start & along the way, came in 3rd.
Can’t wait to see what he’ll do after getting this first race under his belt.

Blue Devil was a total no show in the super slop today, finished 7th.

We still have Sweet Voyage running on the 28th.

Got a message from MRH that Kanthari, the first horse I bought shares in, is going to be or by now has been put down. Talented as a turf sprinter (won at five furlongs in 54.53), but rarely sound. MRH retired him to a rescue, but he had serious hoof infirmities, was in pain. MRH did the right thing.

I saw that on fb and am glad they did right by him. RIP Kanthari

Pisses me off that they waited as long as they did to finally do the right thing.
It was very obvious from the get go that he was beyond help, yet they used him to solicit for donations under the guise of “helping him”.

The “rescue” was fundraising off of him, or MRH?

Does anyone know if Star Six Nine is still alive? He never started after a wobblers diagnosis and was turned out at Silver Springs with the promise that he’d be cared for and a decision would be made if/when his symptoms progressed.

MRH closed out the account about a year later and there were no more updates. I won’t fault them for putting him down - he had at least a year of enjoying a life of leisure, and with something like wobblers it’s always better to euthanize earlier than later.

The rescue posted him all over their SM seeking donations & asking former microshare owners to chip in for his care & medical bills.

AFAIK Star 69 is still with the person that adopted him from Silver Springs (one of the assistants working there) & he is doing well.

I did not read closely at the time, but upon re-reading it appears that the rescue did the fundraising. However, it also apppears to me that MRH was complicit.

That is a good idea but maybe you can start a thread devoted to that topic. Pretty sure it will be appreciated and the info far easier to find in its own thread.

While you won’t have a chance to make money (for yourself) with this offering. There’s the possibility of making money for the aftercare of those needing it.
