Any APHA peeps on here?

I am getting a half Arabian mare. Her sire is Citanbilling Magic APHA # 159064. He has 3 Superiors, 10 ROMS, Performance Versatility Award, 513 APHA points.
Could someone explain to me what these mean?
Thank you!

Sounds like a good show record.

Superiors are based on events based on points earned in a specific events. So he was really strong in three events. ROMs are much the same thing, but based on fewer points. You can check what the numbers on on the APHA website on what their Superiors and ROMs are based on points wise. I’m sure there’s someone here who can check out his record online and let you know what his strong classes were.

Thank you!

I did a quick check and the sire is pretty awesome.

World Champion in halter.
In the open division has ROMs in heading, halter, heeling, western pleasure

Amateur division has ROMs in breakaway roping, heading, heeling and steerstopping…

But has points in western pleasure, jumping, reining.

In other words, is versatile and can do a lot of things well.

Thank for the info. Do you know where I might find a picture of him?

I don’t. Sorry. I tried googling his name and the name of his amateur rider but found nothing. I don’t know if the APHA offices could help you out. No trainer is listed, which is sometimes a good way to track down a specific horse.

Thanks for trying. I appreciate it!
