Any chance of ever getting the Ignore List working?

With Current Events kind of becoming I Hate Republicans it is pretty hard to read these days. Any chance of ever getting the Ignore feature working?

It works GREAT for me–I never click on that forum

You may be better served by asking this question on the vBulletin board, since it’s their problem? The more noise people make about this there, the faster it’d get resolved, I’d think.

oh it will never be resolved, but the harm is to this board as it looses readers

Add me to the group that just does not go to the current events forum. Too much hate going on there. I want to like the other people on this forum so best not to read those postings.

@clanter I would guess if this board knew how to fix the problem they would fix it, since it is something that people have been asking for since we transitioned over. Like Simkie said, the problem is not here, it is with vBulletin.

did they get a refund? most likely not… even thought it was a Feature

I guess I will join those who have left not to return

I get you on the “I hate republicans”.

It would be as offensive if that was an “I hate liberals” or “I hate gerbils” forum.

Hate doesn’t really has a place when discussing issues in mixed company.
Civility does and just happen to be the rule here, just sadly not observed.

Well, you don’t have to go there, not clicking on it is as good as an ignore feature.

I like to find out what the news are that we don’t get here.
Reading the titles is enough to decide if to proceed.

safe places needed I guess.

I am guessing that if hrc or bernie had become president the right wingers would have lots to say in current events

Not sure how this is a tech topic for this forum…

Must not be familiar with software. I’ve yet in my IT career see a software package that was bug-free. Refund? Not going to happen, nor why should it?

Did you get a refund on your vehicle when it had a recall? No, you just wait for it to get fixed…

more familiar than you think about software as I had to debug software that would not preform the task it was supposed to have accomplished otherwise the manufacturer would have had to recall the products

Ignore was a to have been an embedded feature in this software program, developer even stated there was no way to remove it… problem is it never ever worked… no broke later it just never worked.

But since you mentioned cars there is a lemon law and the Federal version covers all products that cost greater than $25.00 …so I would guess software that claims to do something that it cannot would fall into the Federal Lemon Law

There are two sources of protection which are of great interest to consumers: the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and the Consumer Protection Act. Keep these in mind when ANY product you buy does not perform as it should. The Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (“The Act”) is a Federal law that protects buyers of virtually any goods sold in the US which came with an express written warranty. The law is sometimes called the “Federal Lemon Law” but do not think that it applies only to cars and trucks. It applies to any consumer goods which cost more than $25.00,

But I have come to the conclusion that the board’s ownership really supports strongly a specific point of view

hum I guess you are not familiar with Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act

a Federal law which protects buyers of almost any goods sold in the continental United States which comes with an express written warranty and the latter comes into play when the goods purchased does not work as it should or when the consumer was tricked or mislead into purchasing the product with false Promised Benefits.

the feature was an embedded feature so said the developers who stated it could not be removed… remove? hell it never worked
