any COTH Mountaineer/Mahonig connections: ISO "Sea Isle Sandy"

Looking for contact info on a trainer there - PM me for more information.

ETA:
Horse: Sea Isle Sandy
Last known connection (who does not know where she went) is Annette McCoy, Mahonig Valley, last race in December.

It is a concern this mare may have sold thru auction or been sold . She is tall and leggy, solid dark bay, long mule-like ears.

Jessi P

thank you LR & everyone who PM’d me - will keep you updated!

bumping back up after a few dead-end leads. I emailed Jessie P, thanks Laurierace & jbrp… Having a little difficulty getting contacts, anyone else familiar or have connections at Mountaineer?

If anyone is hesitant to contact based on the nature of my inquiry, there is a horse that has been floating around in low claiming and I’d like to contact the owner to buy for a non-race home.

Bumping this up again… the leads I was given by friends turned up as dead ends (trainers/old owners don’t know where horse went)… Anyone else in/around the Mountaineer scene?

I’m working w/ the last known trainer to find this horse - she wants to make sure the horse did not end up in a bad place. I want to make sure the horse ended up somewhere and would prefer my backyard

Who was the last known trainer? If it was Michael Gill or one of his sub-trainers, you may be too late.

Has Jessi P not answered you? She is trainer there and knows just about everyone.

What a bizarre statement. Mike Gill hasn’t been active since last decade and never kept much of a string at Mountaineer. Did I miss something here?

Lord Helpus, I sent you a PM!

Scary enough though he sent me a friend request on Facebook.

Yea…no. 3 geldings I used to gallop went “missing” after he had them.

I only thought the statement was bizarre because of the fact that a) he hasn’t owned any runners in over 6 years and b) he ran so few horses at Mountaineer when he was active.

I worked for Mike Gill’s operation many years ago. It is still one of the best jobs I’ve ever had. But as to what happened to the horses that could no longer run, some I know where they ended up, others are not where I was told they went and have vanished. That part I truly hate. :frowning:

Get in touch with Jen Arbogast Ruberto? There is a facebook group, mountineer match. Might help.

Why the just tell us the horses name…see if COTH can help…an FB works as well.

Sea Isle Sandy

I’m sure you already know this, but his last race was at Mahoning Valley with different connections than when he was at Mountaineer- did you check with those folks?
