Any end of the year pony stallion deals?

Got a call today that one of our old pony mares needs to be rehomed so of course I’m off to pick her up.

She was being used as a school pony and could use a break so if I can find the right stallion /deal thinking about breeding her and letting her have the rest of the year off.

She is a Q.H mare although only 13.2 big bodied. Her sire threw very small we owned a gelding by him also full Q.H who was 14.1 1/4 so I’m not too too worried about size.

If I had to pick her apart her back is long , her legs are a bit short compared to depth of body and her topline is Q.H level I’d like to see a more upright topline.

Sandy Holbrook has two beautiful stallions in FL. www.sugarbrookfarm.com I encourage you to go look at them in person if you are close by—it is well worth the trip.

I don’t know of any deals at the end of the year, most that I am aware of are at the beginning of the breeding season, but to be honest most pony stud fees are not that bad anyways. You can get a super nice stallion for $1k or less. If you find a stallion that really suits your mare nicely, than it will be well worth any extra money you have to spend for him on stud fee or AI fees. Farnley Beachcomber is another well-bred pony that used to be in FL somewhere too, not sure if he is still here or if he did live cover.

Burberry

I am offering a 1/2 price deal to the first mare owner on my German Riding Pony stallion, Burberry! I am donating 100% of the stud fee to my baby niece who was born with severe medical issues and now needs a piece of medical equipment that medicaid does not cover.
