Any known Ulcergard deals for < $30 right now?

That pretty much says it.

My FUO guy is acting like he might have some ulcers from all the banamine he was getting, despite the first few days of Ulcergard (at 1.5 tubes, he’s big) and ranitidine (30 150mg tabs) roughly every 8 hours for the last 6 days. So, I’m considering going back to some UG to see if that will help.

the best I can find right now is $32.80/tube.

$28.90 per tube @ Valley Vet for a 12-pack plus free shipping and at least in my state no sales tax.

FarmVet is 27.99 and 5% more if USEF member. Free shipping, but there is tax so not sure if cheaper than Valley Vet. Jefferspet was 15% off, free shipping and no tax yesterday, might have something similar on cyber monday.

I did just find that VV sale - not sure how I missed them before as they’re usually my go-to!

Thanks keep - I’ll check FarmVet and Jeffers!

JB, just some info for your back pocket–Precision compounds a omeprazole/ranitidine paste that my CO vet finds just as effective (with scoping studies) as the Merial products. Not sure if you’re willing to go compounding pharmacy, but the cost is considerably less. You do need a willing vet.

Merial gives a $5/tube rebate for UG, GG, Equioxx, etc. Here’s the link:

I just emails Precision to see what they charge since I need some too. Thanks for the tip!

Merial only gives a $2.00 rebate on Ulcergard unless you buy it from a vet.

I got some at riding warehouse for 26.50 per tube with their current sale.

Thanks Simkie! I will try to remember that. Thanks for the Riding Warehouse tip too

I think now I will stay with ranitidine for right now. Yes, I overthink things sometimes LOL Things are complicated by his reaction to the 2nd dose of Excede and now I think his behavior last night may have been more that than anything else. If that changes, I can get a few (more $$) tubes of UG at Southern States while I wait for an order from, probably, Valley Vet since they have nice fast shipping, BUT, I will definitely ask my vet about the compounded omep/ranit and find out a turnaround time. She’s more than willing to help me keep costs down

Last time I purchased from precision, it was just over $300 for 30 days of treatment, with overnight shipping

If you are comfortable ordering from Horseprerace they have a sale going on right now $25 for a 6 dose tube.

Out of curiosity, what’s the typical shipping from HPR?

I’ve done Abler before but didn’t want to wait what could be almost 2 weeks.

The Horse PreRace omeprazole was a godsend when my horse was laid up for months on a bajillion dollars worth of antibiotics a day. The cost of GG/UG on top of her other drugs was killing me, and my dear vet at the time used to refuse to write scripts (which I hear is now against state law for vets to do).

My orders from HPR always came FAST-- they arrived within 3-4 days, unlike Abler where I’ve had them take up to a month. The product consistency is spotty, the horses hate it, and it will stain your life blue… but despite what the FDA says, I’ve personally seen no difference in results with HPR vs. the Abler omeprazole in any form. I do think the real stuff works better, but the overseas stuff still works.

I’ve always gotten $5/tube and I get it from Valley Vet.
