They have an interesting diy shelter that allows doing your own walls. I don’t know whether their price is reasonable or not – $850 per 12 x 10, plus tax, etc.?http://www.eq-winecovers.com/
I have one, an 18x18. It’s a good product and I would buy it again, competitively priced, though factor in delivery to wherever you are. My neighbor has some as well.
Thank you. I’ve seen their website and talked to whomever it is who answers the phone. I need six, but I have a large flatbed and they aren’t that far away.
I have one. Never used the channels to add walls yet, but definitely a nice size and good quality at a good price. The 12x12 roofs do nothing to keep a horse dry during a windy rain storm.
By comparison, a metal carport, 12 ft x 21 ft, is $895 installed. They have six 30" anchors, which sound not quite as good as the cemented-in legs of the Eq-Wine shelter, and there are no channels – you have to use your own approach to attaching any walls.
If these were (are?) available in NW Oregon, I’d seriously consider them, but my plans for now are for building a modified carport.
I haven’t heard anything bad about the Eq-Wine, which is something unique. I’ve also been in frequent contact with Billet Barns, located in Lancaster, CA, which is about an hour away–handy in case our diy attempts crash half-way through. Their cost is about the same as Eq-Wine, and they’ve been in business for a long time. They are focused on metal siding, although they bent over backwards to figure out how I could install wood siding, which is more attractive, imo.
Flip a coin. Thanks to you all for input.
We have several of different sizes from EqWine. We did put the channels and walls on - at least a back wall - I have one that is fully enclosed on 3 sides and partially enclosed in front, four that are enclosed on the back and one side, one that is enclosed on 3 sides. AND we put two next to each other with extended supports to create a hay barn! I love these shelters, they are solid and safe. Much sturdier then a “car port” type shelter. All my pastures have run in shelters, and most are of this design from EQWine.
Hmmm, they should pay me a commission, hahahaha…
