I had a mare with bugs alive '75 and kitaman breeding. I have been able to find quite a bit on bugs alive (obviously) but I am at a loss with Kitaman. I know my mare was Kansas Bred by dale E Anderson. She has a full sister named Brassy Bugs (copper bugs - miss kita quick) owned by keith and peggy sorenson in nebraska and they bred her multiple times to their stallion KPS fire and ashes. Attempted to contact them for info, but unable to reach them and don’t know if she is still alive. Would be around 20 years old if so. I am not a western person, but I’ve had a few people interested in breeding to my stud that were so any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much !
I don’t quite understand what you are asking, but if you are looking for a specific horse, have you tried calling the AQHA to see what they can tell you, what their records show?
What does that has anything to do with your stud or if some want to breed to it?
Maybe if you clarify a bit more someone may have an answer for you.
Bugs Alive in 75 was a very good race horse and sire and even better broodmare sire.
Kitaman was a heavily bred to stallion by AQHA and paint breeders.
Our old paint was a son of his, passed away two years ago at 30 years old.
Those lines are now way back in today’s pedigrees.
Sorry let Me clarify.
My mare was.a.kitaman granddaughter. I am having difficulty finding information regarding him. I do know he was heavily bred and into paint lines. Have a paint that is cousin of my stallion with him in lines. I want to get as much info as I can for my info to be more educated on the lines.
The horse in question, brassy bugs, is a full sister to my stallions dam, and evidently has also had successful offspring so I am curious of any information given regarding her or that line.
I really do want to offer him for western disciplines if people are interested in him, but I would like to be educated to find out what could be beneficial. I just don’t want to appear ignorant.

Very good race breeding, Go Man Go, Top Deck etc back to Man O’ War and dam is by Three Bars. Described as successful race horse sire plus some halter and performance. Click on photo icon on top of page for a picture.
