Blue Peter
If one were looking to buy a full blooded RID broodmare prospect, what price would such a mare command in today’s market here in the States? I am beginning to save for a foundation broodmare for my own (looking at purchase in 1-2 years) and curious what price point you breeders think is probably wise to save for initial purchase cost. Also, are there many Blue Peter line horses in the States? I don’t see him often and really like his line.

I have purchased a package for about 5K per mare but I have seen mares up to 25K if they have a lot of training and showing to their record. We have Blue Peter bloodlines here as we had Roma Blue Hawk and Touch of the Blues who have been used here. There is a Blue Henry son somewhere out south east? but I am not sure he is still a stallion. Blue Peter is a movement sire. PatO
Though I’m fairly sure I would not buy a horse via an online auction, this on on FB from the UK and Ireland is darned fun for window shopping and seeing what’s moving there.
RIDs and ISH show up quite a bit, as well as the ever adorbs cobs and Connies.
