Anyone buy? sell? adopt? from Brit Le'Brand Farm Warsaw Ohio?

Annie

This is from the ad on horseclicks.com-
Free lease avaliable to persons with trainer. Nice very quiet easy going mare. She has been shown in open shows by begginner rider. Very nice collective movement. Very nice mover. Owner doesn’t want to sell her but will not have the time to ride or show her. She is to nice of a horse to sit in the pasture and hang out. Please only serious people email about her. Leasing avaliable for her to a show/family type home for a monthly fee (depending on trainer) and insurance.
First of all Britney, please spell “avaliable” correctly-you’re driving me insane! From dictionary.com, it’s “a·vail·a·ble.” Second, in the ad her price is $100. In the very first sentence, it says “free lease” with trainer. The last sentence says there’s a monthly fee for a lease (depending on trainer) and insurance…which is it?

Annie

Exactly trailqueen. This post is killing me.

I really want that mare Dolly and noticed she just recently bumped up her price from $2250 to $2950 for a 21 year old broodmare. Sigh… She’s a nice mare, but that’s still very steep, especially in this economy. I’d happily pay $750 for her, but that’s only if she comes with free and clear title and her papers (and sans drama.)[/QUOTE]

Your inquiry must have inspired her…the price is now $3500:no:

Dolly

Why would anyone pay that for such an older mare?(Snowflake you had a particular reason that makes sense I’m talking the average person) I mean especially with how the industry is right now. Most people are giving horses away…

who’s the girl riding Demi in the pics? It’s not Britney…

Ridind Demi

I would say its either the last person that leased her or one of Britney’s relatives…but your right its not Britney nor her house, except for the one picture.

hope she had written permission to post those pics cuz i’m pretty sure it’s not a family member either. far as i know, they don’t have much family other than gma and gpa.

Hope she never uses any of the pictures I sent her because she will have multiple lawsuits…just saying.

B now has quite a few ads back on HorseTopia!!! http://www.horsetopia.com/for-sale/horsefarm.cfm/farm265627.html
:frowning:

Demi

Too bad the mare went sour at the event in GA last Sept, refused to jump on X-country and dumped her rider into the fence. Thank heavens the rider wasn’t hurt. Mare’s been parked in a pasture at Brit Le Brand Farms since then, gosh what a great way to keep a “talented” horse in shape and fix that sour problem. Apparently Aunt Britney is too busy and doesn’t have time to ride…

I’m sure Demi isn’t the only one that hasn’t been “fixed”…

more horses…

really??!

“Previous owner was killed so looking for a great home for her”

why in the heck would you put that in an ad for a horse you’re trying to sell? Maybe I’m off-base, but isn’t that a little insensitive? why is that relevant? again, is she playing on people’s sympathy?

Totally agree…that is totally uncalled for. Did the horse kill the person? If so then that would be need to know info other than that. I feel sorry for the family of the people. This woman has no tact whatsoever.

The horse who’s “owner was killed” is a 4yr old GRADED STAKES WINNER. B*LL S**T:mad:

…mmmm…her specialty…

actually Toadie’s Mom…BS is her specialty…

Dead owner - a new low in attention-getters

“Previous owner was killed so looking for a great home for her”

SERIOUSLY??? If previous owner wasn’t killed, would you be looking for a bad home for the mare?

Ok, here are the hooks used in several current ads: ‘owner in college, needs good home’ – ‘downsizing herd’ – ‘Owner is moving and looking for a new home for her’, – and let’s not forget ‘Owner doesn’t want to sell her but will not have the time to ride or show her’, and another variation: ‘Owner doesn’t not have the time to ride or show her’, so now we’re on to dead owner, looking for new “great” home???

So which one is it? 'Cuz so far, none of the previous statements hold water…or is this anything to get attention and unmerited sympathy? What’s next? Can’t wait to see… :frowning:

Annie…revealed…

Well funny thing I just found. Annie’s sire Profit Policy, has two other mares that have “unfinished” lopes!! Hmmm so plus they are for sale on the same site as Annie. More show experience but only in walk/trot…I have to say it makes me feel better about my whole experience with Miss Annie…However her half sisters are just as beautiful as she is though… Good luck “selling” her B!

Remi…

“Gorgeous big 16.2 hand red roan quarter horse gelding looking for that forever home. This gelding is a gorgeous halter show horse that is looking for his new forever partner. He is not broke to ride, but definately could be. He does require front shoes to remain comfortable. This gelding is gaining his weight great and is ready to start working on the lung for muscle. This gelding is extremely quiet even a beginner youth or adult safe. This gelding has been shown in local, open, circuit & Congress horse shows in the past. I’m looking for a forever home on contract, so if your not interested in a contract, please don’t email. This is a great opportunity for the right person. I will place him into a forever home on contract for free from now till Feb 4th, 2011. Thanks”

Trying to remember if he was posted before…

?

ad says “please contact for website info.” Does that farm have a website now?
