I am still waiting for an answer regarding whether or not an individual has to pay tax on the income received from buying/selling/leasing horses and raising australian shepherds and selling them at Quarter Horse Congress for 3-4 times their worth.
The simple answer without having full knowledge of the issue is yes.
If your complaint is about unreported income, the IRS will handle the case first.

Please supply any supporting documentation to the IRS on the amount of unreported income generated from the selling of dogs and horses.
If you believe the selling of dog and horse is more then a hobby but a full business we would like a copy the the complaint so we can investigate the business taxes.

Now, anyone who has documentation that would support this cause, you have your information you need. She claimed to have a riding program, she ALWAYS has horses for sale/lease/rent/repo and resale…do you call that a business?? I do… and I bet she doesn’t pay taxes on any of it. Its a revolving door that I hope will smack her right square in the a–.

I was told at Equine Affaire that Miss B sold a horse to a gal about 2 years ago, the new owner called the local humane society and turned B in. Apparently all horses and ponies were seized due to neglect and lack of care. Anybody else know anything about this? Sounded like it was summer of 2010…

nice to see she reduced the price on her female aussies from $1200 to $950…I’m pretty sure I could find an aussie for $200 and teach it to be a search and rescue/agility/whatever dog too. As a matter of fact, I could go to the animal shelter and find a beautiful & smart dog , pay $75 for it, and teach it just about anything…jus’ sayin

I guess I don’t understand why, if you don’t know her, would you get so upset and defend her? I DON’T comment on things I know nothing about. That would make me stupid.
Thanks Trailqueen- if for nothing else you bring up the fact that we all need to think about the dogs at shelters and the potential they have that is equal to a purebred dog. And as far as Miss B goes, she needs all the bad publicity she can get.
Please drop the personal commentary all around or we’ll close the thread. In general, threads on our site show up very high in Google searches even if they’re old, so please don’t bump the thread just for the sake of it.

Mod 1, we keep posting here because Britney continues to “sell” horses and aussies, and we want to make sure anybody who is considering doing business with her has a chance to avoid the headache and heartache. I would have loved to have found this thread before I got involved with her, but the thread wasn’t available at that time. We don’t bump just to keep it showing up in Google searches, we just want to provide a caveat emptor to anyone who runs across her ads.

I reported her to the humane society after TAKING- not purchasing a horse that was almost dead it was in such terrible condition back in Nov 2010. The humane agent was her Aunt so I doubt anything was done! BTW-horse is amazing now!!!

aha, thanks for the update! that’s wonderful news, horseygirl, glad that your horse is doing so well. Her aunt is the HS agent, but as Trailqueen noted on a much earlier thread, the aunt would have to step out and let one of the other HS agents investigate.

Given the language/grammar/attitude in the ad, and the fact that the horse is located in Port Washington, OH (within 20 or so minutes east of Coshocton on the east side of I-77), this looks suspiciously like a Britney Sturtz ad.
