I’ll put the same thing on here that I put in the PM for inca, just for anyone researching Dixie Horse and Mule.
We bought our trailer sight unseen from Keaton in May. Granted we are in the same state, but are about 6 hours from them. We sold our trailer the Monday before Memorial Day weekend, found their trailer on Tuesday, worked out the deal, picked it up Thursday morning, and took it camping Friday-Monday.
They will have my business again. They sell based on volume and not margin, so they don’t make much money on each trailer. Hence why their prices are so low and why they don’t negotiate on the price. They sell a lot of trailers to out of state people so any ding on a trailer they try to take pictures and document. I can just about guarantee the trailer will be just as represented.
I would recommend buying it at the ‘wholesale’ price and not negotiating a lower price. With the ‘wholesale’ price they pull the trailer into the shop and go through it with a fine tooth comb, and replace or fix anything that isn’t working perfectly. It’s worth the piece of mind. Even if you get it home and can’t get something to work a lot of times they will mail you the parts or try to work with you to make it right.
Feel free to ask any more questions, but in my mind you can’t go wrong with them. They run their business off word of mouth and care about long term customers.
