I’m looking into the Chris Cox and Clinton Anderson clinics. The ones where you go to their place and stay for 6-10 days with your horse.
Has anyone on here done this? I’d love feedback and opinions!
Thanks!

I would love to go to one of those things just to see what all goes on “behind the scenes”. Unfortunately, my wallet won’t allow, so I’m going to stick with TV/forums/YouTube.
Prefer Cox over Anderson, but I still do respect Anderson for how he teaches people (largely beginner/newbies)
I prefer Cox because he has a softer presence and handle on the horses.
Anderson can be a bit ‘too much’…a little extreme/harsh/demanding.
Based on what I’ve seen of CA on tv and at the WEG, I agree with this assessment. He works a horse too hard, and does not pay any attention to proper longeing techniques to avid torquing a horse around. Cute butt, though. And I will say he has some good explanations about some things and appropriate self-deprecation.
Edited to add, the only clinics I currently aspire to attend are Buck Brannaman’s.
Tradition of the California Reinsman (vaquero/buckaroo)
Yep.
Bev - Buck Brannaman is the ultimate California Reinsman (Vaquero/Buckaroo tradition) and he is my “favorite” of the clinicians.
Others I also love:
