This was new this year. My understanding is the IRS or somebody taxed the hunt so now we pay sales tax. Is this the norm?
The state requires it in KS. ", that sale tax is imposed upon the “gross receipts from dues charged by public and private clubs, organizations and businesses or entertainment”.
IMO, the state is so hard up for $$ now they are looking in smaller places to find $$. Let’s hope the state doesn’t start taxing recreational horses like a car or truck, with annual tags.
